UPF 50+ Protection
We love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains. We love barbeques, swimming, surfing and the great outdoors. We are the lucky country and our children grow up spending hours and hours in the sun.
We need to protect our skin and our children’s skin from the sun because research from the Australian Cancer Council states that sunburn is the cause of 95% of melanomas.
Babies and children are at particular risk of sunburn because of their delicate skin and AquaZip has designed kid’s swimsuits with the Australian climate in mind. The swimsuits cover up more skin and provide 50 UPF+ protection.
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and is a rating system to indicate the UV (Ultraviolet) protection provided by fabrics. UPF measures how much of the sun’s UV radiation is absorbed or “blocked” by fabric, effectively protecting the skin underneath. UPF ratings range from 15 to 50, and a higher UPF rating indicates greater protection. Garments that are rated UPF 50+ offer the highest level of UV protection.
All AquaZip Australia products have a UPF rating of 50+, blocking 98% of all harmful UV rays.
Enjoy the sun safely with AquaZip.
